ODL Design & Democracy Gent 2026
 
Over five intensive weeks, we will learn the basics of coding, digital embroidery, funky poster-making, and think together what design and democracy can mean.
 
Look at posters and other materials of protest and resistance, from digital and physical archives, linking this with your own experience.

Develop a prototype that will be shown in the Gent Design Museum in October.

ODL is organised for refugees, asylum seekers and newcomers. Across these three editions, we aim to build a strong community with and for the participants, expanding their professional networks by connecting them with local cultural and artistic professionals from Flanders and Brussels.

Courses
4 times per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) from 10h to 16h

There is no tuition fee. Travel expenses to the course are covered and lunch between the morning and afternoon sessions will also be provided.
