We gathered feedback from former participants of the ODC project, asking about their experiences in the program. With their consent, here are some of their comments :
“ODC had a significant social impact on me. I started thinking more deeply about feminism, migration, refuge, importance of privacy. I could meet people from different countries and backgrounds which opened up my views and broke my social isolation.
I could explore different artistic practices, learned about hack your future program from other ODC participants, which helped me to have a job now.”
“I made a new connection with new people such as Connected Dots and Fameus which led to more chances to show my other artistic skills.”
“I am still developing the concept of my project that I didn’t manage to finish during the course. I truly believe in this project, and I don’t think I would come to the idea of it without being a student at ODC. Yes It had a huge impact. After that I started my IT career because I found I love coding, and I continued learning by myself on internet. Then I did a 400 hours program in Data Analysis and Machine Learning in Digital City-Actiris (In the interview I talked about how I stated coding Python with ODC). With that I found my first job as Data Analyst in Saint-Luc Hospital in BXL. Now I’m applying for a Phd in Medical Sciences and AI at the UCL.
On the artistic side, today I’ve progressively added the tools we learned at ODC program into my artistic projects: Python, Blender, 3d scans, 3dprinting, web design.
